Elementary

A is for atrocious because this flow is halitosis
It goes near your nose and everyone would notice
B is for broken which is the reason why I'm smokin'
Machinery scenery fierce like a Hadoken
C is for confidence which is just competence
Compliments of the radiance that I brought to this
D is for defiance because I've got no alliance
Just a reliance on my craft that's basically a science
E is for excellence because that is my preference
The essence of my being is as fresh as a breath mint
F for figuration because my infinite duration
Forms many apparitions, this is my occupation
G is for gamma with this radiation candor
The standards of my grammar is met with absolute manners
H is for harmonics because my sound tonic
Is similar to verbal chronic that goes supersonic

[Chorus] x2
Alpha Beta Gamma, ABC
Yi Er San, 1 2 3
Back to the basics, just let it be
This is nothing new: elementary

[Verse 2]
I is for Illmatic that's less than static, automatic
The tactics that I still practice less than sporadic
J for jabberwock which they believe what I talk
But knock on the block and know the tic tok is stocked
K for killuminati, represents my different theories
Purely, merely a shield yield, call it Nick Fury
L is the luminescent descendant before your eyes
The resident of precedence with sound that multiplies
M is melisma mastering microphone melodies
But the charisma is plastering monochrome MCs
N is for notorious with this glorious story kid
I end up victorious, back to M for meritorious
O is for ovations even octaves partake in
Clefs in amazement, notes in wrong placements
P is for poetic because I write an Iliad Epic
The tales and legends are all awesomely aesthetic

[Chorus] x2
Alpha Beta Gamma, ABC
Yi Er San, 1 2 3
Back to the basics, just let it be
This is nothing new: elementary

Q means quartic because I'm past the next degree
Past three, Takumi, even if you square root me
R is the rationalism of my radial lyricism
360 degrees of literary symbolism
S is for soliloquy because I unusually speak to me
Indefinitely I'm irritably reciting wonderfully
T is the transcendent tracks I create apparent
That's not transparent nor is it very arrogant
U is urbicide I decide is for my mics to try
I annihilate cities that makes an Apocalypse cry
V is the verses versus voltage that are so vibrant
That the tyrants and pirates would be equally silent
W is the way I make songs wirble in circles
This verbal purple I make is universal with more brain than Erkle
X is for a xenolith that lifts and shifts the rifts
Into different levels of gifts that don't actually exist

[Chorus] x2
Alpha Beta Gamma, ABC
Yi Er San, 1 2 3
Back to the basics, just let it be
This is nothing new: elementary

[Outro]
Y is the yare because it's unfair how I pair
The flares together so I dare you to stare
Z is for the zephyr that ensures a good finisher
Cause sir, I've most certainly put in 100% effort

Continually Reign Supreme

[Verse 1]
Lifestyles of the broke and the ambitious
Raise up suspicions and the superstitious
Why is he so confident and such an optimist?
Soy sauce heritage but he wasabis this
No photoshop, he doesn't even crop this
He remains with flame like H E double hockey sticks
His pocket is in a perpetual state of emptiness
But his instrumentals are a rate of exemplariness
Not temporary, it seems quite permanent
But his apartment still has yet to be furnished
Top of his dome is improvisation less common
And the bottom of his stomach chillin is top ramen
Chanting like shamans, this dude recites all night
He rewrites and rewrites and no end in sight
He doesn't know if he'll make it and get signed
But all in his mind, his rhymes are just fine

[Chorus]
Ever tried, ever failed, c'mon
(The more you try to erase me)
It's no matter, it's no matter, it's no matter, c'mon
(The more that I appear, oh)
Try again, fail again, try again, c'mon
(The more you try to erase me)
Just fail better, just fail better, just fail better, c'mon
(The more that I appear, oh)

[Verse 2]
Lifestyles of the blessed and the gifted
Everything in his thought process has been shifted
So much ahead of his environment
Everything he touches turns into diamonds
His watch turns at his own pace of intelligence
With no negligence he makes obscure relevant
Bury him in the ground and he's so ahead in ways
The next day you strike oil where he lay
His head is concocting crystallic fusion
And they deal with installment improvements
4.7 and his world is in 0.9
So in the grind, it might not be his time
Some may perceive he's quite peculiar
Or raving mad. But still somewhat familiar
Somewhat behind and yet somewhat ahead
And instead he turns gold into lead

[Chorus]
Ever tried, ever failed, c'mon
(The more you try to erase me)
It's no matter, it's no matter, it's no matter, c'mon
(The more that I appear, oh)
Try again, fail again, try again, c'mon
(The more you try to erase me)
Just fail better, just fail better, just fail better, c'mon
(The more that I appear, oh)

[Verse 3]
T-A-K-U-M-I the fox
Everything I do will never ever stop
The previous verses were detergents
And the insurgents cut things up like surgeons
Generally warned and professionally formed
I'm definitely sworn with a chill state of warm
Honestly, my honesty is put onto every beat
It might seem obsolete but it fits perfectly
I speak serpents. Just the master and the servant
Watch this at work, the surface has lasting purpose
Less than worthless, the deep end equivalent
Like an ambulance it has first lane privileges
Reminisce and provide grander gifts
I create like a chemist that is blemish-less
So I render this with no clear paradigm
Wrong place, right time with this original design

[Chorus]
Ever tried, ever failed, c'mon
(The more you try to erase me)
It's no matter, it's no matter, it's no matter, c'mon
(The more that I appear, oh)
Try again, fail again, try again, c'mon
(The more you try to erase me)
Just fail better, just fail better, just fail better, c'mon
(The more that I appear, oh)

Make Believe

[Verse 1]
Let's pretend that all of the success really happens
Let's pretend and say that I make a career out of rappin
And not even just spitting words through the radio
Not even watching the videos and disregarding my flow
Let's pretend my music leaves a real lasting impression
And the musical depression turns back into jam sessions
Let's pretend that the lyrical content was deeper than that
Deeper than quote on quote rap, deeper than the sale stats
Let's pretend my album generates worldwide buzz
Have generations pondering and wishing they could do what I does
Let's pretend I start a movement, more than improvement
In the mental home front, now everyone is less prudent
Seeking knowledge like students, we constantly are aware
And right there, from my music that I handled with care
Let's pretend that I actually make it and I do it till the end
How wonderful it would be, c'mon, let's pretend

[Verse 2]
Let's pretend that the ink in my pen ran dry already
That I never even attempted to make rhymes steady
Let's pretend I had no ambition to continue this dream
And we can pretend that I already had that self-esteem
Let's pretend that I already had all the girls I asked
And I never had to keep my emotions bottle and masked
We can pretend that I didn't write to release deep secrets
Nor did I have problems rooted in myself deep seeded
Let's keep pretending that I never liked music all too much
That I never once heard a chord that had my heart touched
We can say that I always had my way and never had problems
That I was entrapped with what were goon to goblins
Let's pretend I had no desire to recite my writtens
And failing twice bitten left me more than frost bitten
We can pretend that I just didn't ever have that passion
Let's pretend that I never even dreamed of it to happen

[Verse 3]
Now let's pretend that a kid from Portland tried to MC
And we can pretend that his stage name was Takumi
We can pretend he got it from one of his favorite books
We can pretend that he worries his moniker gets mistook
And then let's pretend he instills in his raps his upbringing
Which does not include good singing or crack flinging
Let's pretend he tries to do real good at school
And we can pretend that he hopes he comes of real cool
And that around his friends, he is maybe well-liked
But he never knows because pretend he's worried bout spite
Because let's say his confidence was never very high
And he was wondering if his competence was just a lie
Pretend he wanted to make music so he could be heard
Pretend he embraced his brain and his aura of nerd
Pretend his words over tracks had people head bobbin
Pretend his first mixtape was pow like Batman and Robin
And we can keep on weaving this fictional tale
But I bet you're getting bored listening to this kid wail
But if we can pretend one more time, if you will
That you wanted to hear the quill and if this kid's ill
Or if you wanted to listen to his hustle and struggle
And maybe see this boy rise and see him start as a bubble
Then maybe for once you're in for a surprise
You don't have to pretend, just open your eyes.
