For Paper Equations

[Verse 1]
We're all in this world looking for something
Before we vanish and waste away to nothing
Some want fame, others wants only pleasure
People want a name and refused to be measured
We're all looking for something, that part is true
And we've all felt lost, that part is not new
So we envelope ourselves in different enigmas
Trying to craft character and charisma
We search for meaning and we start dreaming
We learn, start reading and soon begin beaming
Devising tactics that require much practice
Finding our own cracks and if we lack this
And then we fill the holes with whatever we need
Into our demons we feed and we lose our creed
Until one day it bleeps back on our radars
We get into our cars and we drive away far

[Chorus]
Paper towns, paper boys and paper girls
Why can't we see into the greater world?
With an abundance of reluctance we just go
Far, far away until the labyrinth grows

Paper hearts are too fragile but still agile
You've got a cancer curing grin and smile
Build towns from the ground on simple principle
We cannot be broken: we're just invincible

[Verse 2]
Lips whispering words too inaudible and silent
Nothing is longer plausible: only violent
The world on it's a axis, spinning like a dreidel
We get out of control and are no longer stable
Find your ambitions in a hearse plagued by a curse
Ripped like a paper purse and that's not the worse
You're heart is now inside torn into 19 parts
Where to start? You now see new things in art
Seeing words that aren't there like an anagram
Analyzing like a diagram, graphing like a pentagram
The numbers no longer blunders: gives you definition
New wonders to discover: strengthened intuition
You can find you're path out of the maze and haze
Give praise to who are close and follow your ways
Thanks to pranks, no division amongst ranks
Inside libraries for life there are only think-tanks

[Chorus]
Paper towns, paper boys and paper girls
Why can't we see into the greater world?
With an abundance of reluctance we just go
Far, far away until the labyrinth grows

Paper hearts are too fragile but still agile
You've got a cancer curing grin and smile
Build towns from the ground on simple principle
We cannot be broken: we're just invincible

[Verse 3]
Let them watch your moves: they're like eagles
Acting like regal royalties that are above the people
But they are equal because we all have abilities
Just withstand their aim for your head like guillotines
Drink deeply and eat hearty: this is your one chance
In a mental trance keep steady and assume a stance
A last stand, a last dance. Your last breath?
With little time left, what do you say before death?
Do you assume everything is simply inedible?
Or do you create relationships that are unforgettable?
Tie strings that connect us from one to another
Rise from the gutters and have on-lookers stutter
Have them in awe of what you have done with yourself
There's no equation in the world that will help
Just know that you can do anything you think is real
Because it tastes exactly like how hope feels

[Chorus]
Paper towns, paper boys and paper girls
Why can't we see into the greater world?
With an abundance of reluctance we just go
Far, far away until the labyrinth grows

Paper hearts are too fragile but still agile
You've got a cancer curing grin and smile
Build towns from the ground on simple principle
We cannot be broken: we're just invincible

[Radar (Jake Bisuut) Bonus Verse]
These days seeing things a little bit closer
Noticing the cracks within makes us bolder
Who knows what kind of people we were before
Whether we were the ones to adore or abhor
Every single one of us in our own shoes,
Central to our universe, your news is no news
Going on forever, stuck in our labyrinth
Own little world, no one notices absence
The world says you need a reason to live
But a reason to die, Lord, Heaven forbid
Except everything we do sends shivers down our spines
And down to the roots, where our lives intertwine
There I know I'm tangled up in kinks,
Pulling just one string brings us close to the brink.
Looking over, each time I get pulled back down
By those that matter most, declaring my soul to be found.
