Saturday

[Verse 1]
Every morning I wake up and I basically lie there
With tight eyes, like wise, or a wide stare
Grab my phone and I send a text to my dearest
Automatically I get spirit and think in lyrics
I hop in the shower for bout half an hour
Minus ten minutes so when I finish
I get in it, my fitted, look in the mirror: no blemish
Methodically set up my gear like a chemist
Watch on the wrist with my favorite necklace
Check it, put on my kicks and then I wreck this
Eat some breakfast: bowl of rice for the champion
My life's a movie so I hear the musical score with violins
Gotta get caffeine in my bloodstream
Empty my tea, fix my jeans and get dishes clean
I walk to to the mall, my nearest bus stop
Saturday can't be wasted, this is the top

[Chorus] x2
My town is so down, we never get lazy
We never get lazy
I adjust my collar and I click my pen
The scholars now know that I'm once again

[Verse 2]
Seventy one takes me to my one and only
She keeps me high and mighty, no longer lowly
Where to go today? The world's our oyster
Book stores, restaurants, hell even toy stores!
Lemme get the check, the meal was delicious
I'll tip a little extra, thank you for those dishes!
Walk hand in hand as we cruise the avenues
On our shoes mind you, hey, at least I'm being true
Spend a few hours inside flipping some pages
Stumptown coffee I'm sipping should be famous
Rain soaked threads so instead let's go to bed
Back home where we can rest our bodies and our heads
Surf the web and we laugh at memes
Making jokes along the way, can't explain it is the theme
Dinner with your family? Sure why not
With you it's never I alone, never a cyclops

[Chorus] x2
My town is so down, we never get lazy
We never get lazy
I adjust my collar and I click my pen
The scholars now know that I'm once again

[Verse 3]
I kiss you goodbye and I hope on the nineteen
Time to prepare my rhymes, polish it to a gleam
Drew Kings house, what's good my man?
Ready to lay it down like sheet rock? Let's jam
Verses strewn about across the booth's walls
Unlike Berlin, this will stand tall and never fall
Recording like a stenographer, what do you call it sir?
Well I keep it popping and flashing: I guess a photographer
Brother picks me up and we feeling a little midnight snack
24 Hour Hot Cake house? Let's attack
Now we head downtown to a place for me to ground
The nouns and present them just to astound
MC Competition and the only Asian face in it
But it turns out those rappers have been diminished
Crowned the winner, let's call it a night
Today's Saturday, has been pretty alright

[Chorus] x2
My town is so down, we never get lazy
We never get lazy
I adjust my collar and I click my pen
The scholars now know that I'm once again
