Never Be the Same

[Verse 1]
Shh, quiet down in the movie theater
Sit down, no shuffling, don't check that meter
Let the film roll, let the silver screen dance
Opening scene is a boxer taking his stance
Blood on his face with cuts near his eye
Staring squarely at the face of the other guy
The champion, smirking in an arrogant way
And our challenger has something that'll make him pay
Let the camera pan across his hometown
New York, gritty, black and gray up and down
Underneath the credits trail across, flashing the names
Then finally the title sequence: "Never Be the Same"
We see the title character and protagonist
Sand bag being destroyed by his left and right fst
Monologue heard through the static of an old mic
"My name is Jack. This was the fight of my life."

[Chorus]
If I could press pause, or
fast forward past the hardness
Visions written bring words to life like I'm different with
Memories real, still ill, now I appear crisp like film

[Verse 2]
Next scene black out transition to the past check
Scrawny looking boy looking at his reflection to flex
The coach walks behind him, gives him that look
Jab drill first before we get to the hooks
Jump rope for stamina, speed bag for tempo
Time goes on, sparring, letting the punches flow
Contender for the belt, the old man is proud
Our challenger laid his last opponent down
Blur to fight night with the reigning champ
Uppercut in his chin and our boy's out like a lamp
Next round, he's getting stuck with a jab
Right straights across his face, get a body bag!
Final round, the champ is getting a bit tired
You can see the challenger has eyes of fire
Connect a one two and a devastating blow to the body
The belt is passed and the new champ yells "Try to stop me!"

[Chorus]
If I could press pause, or
fast forward past the hardness
Visions written bring words to life like I'm different with
Memories real, still ill, now I appear crisp like film

Cutting Corners

Everyone told me never to cut them corners
Always had trouble following this order
From pre-school, never had a really steady hand
Cutting down that dotted line was something I couldn't comprehend
My scissors ravaged the page to create jagged edges
That's me, rough around them, but never to repetitive
Or that competitive, concentrated like potent medicine
Even better when I got old enough to be meditative
No sedatives or recreational drugs in my system
I'm cutting class because I never really wanted to listen
Never too much otherwise I'd fall way behind
And a lack of good grades is the death of my rhymes
So I scrap and scrape and tape and shape
Together any piece of work so I can soon escape
From the drudgery and monotony of school
But hell, I'll cut a few corners if it makes me look cool

[Chorus]
One shot to live, one shot to give
Cutting corners here and there but I'll always sieve
Second to none, seconds till I'm done
Cutting corners here and there just for a little fun

[Verse 2]
I'm lazy, undeserving and for more always yearning
At the same time, observing and efficiency conserving
I used to run around in life in perfect circles
But I flipped and cut and switched the reversal
Now I'm out live on five and they're stuck in rehearsal
They're whispering compared to my real verbals
Cutting corners all the same to make it smoother
Using the directions as structure, but it constricts and stupors
Going with the flow? Nah, I just use my own
Get your head in the zone? Well mine's cuckoo nest flown
I'm questioning the idea of well-oiled machinery
Stay too much into it and you'll miss all this scenery
And it seems to me that we're afraid of being original
I am because I feel mine is more digital, less pivotal
But I'll keep my own flight schedule, fly not like a g6
I'm feeling fly like a Martian in wingtips

[Chorus]
One shot to live, one shot to give
Cutting corners here and there but I'll always sieve
Second to none, seconds till I'm done
Cutting corners here and there just for a little fun

[Verse 3]
Cutting corners like how dropouts cut class
These quotes dope like cutting cocaine is cash
A cut above all else when I finish anything
Cutting the crusts off so it sounds good like a wedding ring
Slash on the tracks and a cut of the wrists
Tsk, politically incorrect, I like the cut of your jib
No need to cut and run, I've been here for years
This is the cut as I steer this dear directly to your ears
No cut and paste, all genuine materials
And I don't cut to the chase, bow down to the imperial
Check the serial code, but it's been cut away?
At the end of the day, gimme my cut, I'm on my way
Clean-cut, sleek look, suave and debonair
No cookie cutters. Enlightened like Voltaire
I don't cut-down or dumb down, just smarten up
This is past cut and dry, real sharp stuff

[Chorus]
One shot to live, one shot to give
Cutting corners here and there but I'll always sieve
Second to none, seconds till I'm done
Cutting corners here and there just for a little fun

Higher Learning

Hey forget about that higher learning
Listen to what I'm turning, but no book burning
My memories are blazed in flame and untamed
Savage speech that will reach the top all the same
This is an anthology of ballery that's so polished b
That this oughta be rhyming silver slicked picked: lottery
Stick in the slot and what do you get? Me!
Narrative, essay, epic poems and a testimony

With a chrono trigger flow I've been here since Lavos
Not mad though people claim I'm not rap? Go!
Death came for me and missed it's appointment
So I'm appointed with fourteen points without getting exploited!
Don't you understand I'm here in extraordinary circumstance?
This purpose grand. Deny my services? Can't!
Because I can't read sheets but I analyze music
I don't compose notes but I write quotes and use it!
You've got a sickness? I've got just the remedy
Try this: a free download of my Hip-Hop repertory
Peep the oratory takes you on a wondrous story
I'll paint you a literary masterpiece in all it's glory
I escape from the smoking jaws of guns
Catch me on stage demonstrating anti-choking laws, done!

Listen to the ominous horns, time to report
I leave things out: I like it sweet and short
Demolish trains and I surprise garrisons
All aboard stopped because of my thought comparison
Annihilates and deliberates pre-determined fates
Then I create my own and refresh my own plate
They say life is worth nothing, then what is death?
I'm making every second counted and every last breath!
This method proves more practical and tactical
Than hanging and serves a purpose quite radical
Cheaper than poison, I hate the toxic scent linger
And more convienent than ending it with my own finger
Finally, more dignified than waiting for disease or time
Dying is the last thing I'll do, until then I'm fine

Hey forget about that higher learning
Listen to what I'm turning, but no book burning
My memories are blazed in flame and untamed
Savage speech that will reach the top all the same
This is an anthology of ballery that's so polished b
That this oughta be rhyming silver slicked picked: lottery
Stick in the slot and what do you get? Me!
Narrative, essay, epic poems and a testimony

Moving across impenetrable mountain ranges
I remain un-phased, timeless, means no changes
Through impossible ravines I trample quite ample
No challenge handed to me is a gamble
Fighting and loving, from dusk to dawn
All in a day's work: from my first breath to yawn

Hey forget about that higher learning
Listen to what I'm turning, but no book burning
My memories are blazed in flame and untamed
Savage speech that will reach the top all the same
This is an anthology of ballery that's so polished b
That this oughta be rhyming silver slicked picked: lottery
Stick in the slot and what do you get? Me!
Narrative, essay, epic poems and a testimony

Showtime Fox

Big flow: show time with these vulpine rhymes
Down the spine and in time wave like the Sin of 9
Thousand overhead so you can't reach this level
Embezzled with the treble of real mega metal
Summon Megadeus striking down like Zeus
Toss bullets of lightning rhyming and just to choose
Agitating, dominating, never belaying
I'm dealing with the hating and hazing of some lower rating
Unfresh tomatoes, I mash em like potatoes
Keeping a cooler head than volcanoes or Kano
Pull a Maino you say so, I spit verbal yayo
Cruising like Taio and aye yo, works every time: Drain-O
My pipes never clog, I can see through the fog
And the log based rhythm is something you can't dog
I remain fitted in Cat's Pajamas having them lamda
Keeping them waving for longer with each stanza

[Chorus]
Lights cameras action, set the scene
Take 7, adjust the sound and the light gleam
Curtain call, Certain tall
Break a leg: it's show time y'all

Glancing out on the world through blinds venetian
These cretins claim I've secreted something less than reason
But my repertoire is in fact so above par
That these bars remain a mystery like a film noir
Black and white so you know it's so traditional
This pinnacle isn't for the cynical: it's very pivotal
My pulp fiction strikes down with furious vengeance
Upon tendons without mentions of the sentiments
Wiping out regiments of brain-washed residents
It's the gritty and tired versus the far too elegant
We need the inspirations and muses to represent!
I'm a breath of foreign fresh air and they're scared
All they're used to is polluted, diluted oxygen where
It's thick and grimy with contaminants and chemicals
The medical pumps poison in veins through black tentacles
But they believe that this is good for the ventricles
Some think this entire city has been rendered irreparable

[Chorus]
Lights cameras action, set the scene
Take 7, adjust the sound and the light gleam
Curtain call, Certain tall
Break a leg: it's show time y'all

[Break down]
Lights, cameras, set the scene
Marker, rolling, in the green
Places, action, is the cue
Script, none: full run-through

A State-Run society with no room to step out of bounds
It's up to me to shift the status of this Paradigm Town
Rise up to the cause and the heed of rebellion!
We can unleash onto their world the wrath of hellions
Paint a masterpiece that sparks that revolution
Don't be a precipitate, be a part of the solution!
Compose the final notes on your trump card symphony
With your sounds break down the walls of monotony
We were all born Kings and Queens but we soon forget
We downgraded to mere humans with no regret
But our potential: monumental, more than eventful
Pick up that aerosol can you vandal: create more stencils
Make the world think! So much passes by in a blink
Etch your message deep in the concrete brinks
Pass out the pamphlets of your thoughts philosophical
Somewhere, someone will believe your words possible
Go underground and produce that pirate radio
Your airwaves will travel beyond the musings of Galileo
Wonder what's behind those planets and keep questioning
Take action eventually after all your investigating
No more negotiations to repair the relations
No more compromise because they expected our patience
This is our contract, our will and doctrine
Despite their guffaws and mocks: we will win

Star Fox

[Chorus]
Do a barrel roll!

[Verse 1]
Star Fox in the bars, sailing through the stars
I'll send your regards when I reach all the way to Mars
Pass by Neptune, like a cartoon
Not speaking buffoon, just trying to blow real soon: bassoon
Then my tunes reach the entire universe
With one verse I'll turn it to a gift from a curse
Nebula and constellations in my conversations
Flying high in my spaceship leave many in amazement
Having adjacent placement, feeling real cool, no longer lame
Rings like Saturn saying I've got game
No more asking "what's his name?"
My style so savage it's basically so untamed
Celestial bodies and comets are my company
If misery enjoys it then I'll have a little bit just for me
Don't you understand the gravity of this situation?
I'm going for beyond infinity series duration
Cosmic prophet hailing from Corneria
Captain America with the skill placing all in hysteria
All crafts report! I use my bombs wisely
Had to drop it on them in a manner and fashion so timely
I toss any loss like defeating Andross
And if that boss is crossed then I just pause
Black hole as I swallow these beats whole
And the toll of damage I cause is 100 poll
Landmaster and an Arwing pilot
No burp but Earp like Wyatt in a riot
My astronomy and astrology is impossibly
Difficult and untypical: there is no obviously
Glowing like neon past these peons in every eon
Noble like xenon, unreactive so begone!
Not getting my meek on because only the strong
Will succeed and survive on rhyming this long
Nike space boots and to boot in zero absolute
I shoot past the exit chute into the black moot
3, 2, 1 my eyes grow brighter than the sun
Never going to be done: instead I will just stun
Chilling in my rocket seat cruising over beats
Gas giants match my heat, otherwise it's no defeat
Try to call me would result in super long distance
If you missed it then listen: I'm up in the solar system

[Chorus]
Do a barrel roll!

Ladies & Gentlemen

[Chorus]
Gentlemen get suited up
Pollinate the ear buds
Tie up your winsors
You're going from a boy to misters

Ladies apply your make up
Midnight the hour to wake up
Keep your purse at hand
Twist with us if you understand

[verse 1]
18 karats on your man, in the heart and head
Intelligence prevalence, not to mislead
Bad man with balloon lungs made of steel
I peel the disguise to reveal the Mr. Man of the Town feel
I'm at my wheelhouse even in the barrel house
Stay careful to not to embarrass when you're out
Chill ya nerves, I'm a real cool character
With merits ya get impressed, I might marry ya
Crumb bums try to emulate my entire persona
But just like Mona to Di Vinci I am the owner
Flip your lid as I make my bid with a flick of my wit
And in this instance it is twice the chit
And chat for that matter, tip your hat
Out of this world swagger, serve me on a silver platter
I'm walking on this bass and walking on the rhythm
Walking on the moon's face and lounging through your system

[Chorus]
Gentlemen get suited up
Pollinate the ear buds
Tie up your winsors
You're going from a boy to misters

Ladies apply your make up
Midnight the hour to wake up
Keep your purse at hand
Twist with us if you understand

[verse 2]
Calling my threads bland is an airhead move
I've fallen in my groove, sophisticated like the Lourve
Wax a disc with my prestigious check list
And all the hits will turn smooth without one skip
Except for the skips in the hearts of the ladies
I wink, they swoon, call a doctor, I got em going crazy
Listen to my skins player, the boom with that pap!
Move your feet, shake your hips or keep them fingers on tap
Not like our phones, tonight there's no conspiracy
I'm just exercising my shiny suit theory
My scene got the shamatlz without Mama's waltz
These dolts keep goofin' off so serve em some malts
Kid's stuff while it's Pops with the mean chops
Cool cats like kittens eating up some freezer pops
Keep the disc jockey busy, keep my record spinning
I'm never looking dizzy cause I'm always winning

[Chorus]
Gentlemen get suited up
Pollinate the ear buds
Tie up your winsors
You're going from a boy to misters

Ladies apply your make up
Midnight the hour to wake up
Keep your purse at hand
Twist with us if you understand

[verse 3]
I reside in the land of the jazzy and the fresh
Down by law, my requests have that stamp of accept
My verses are Moltres, blowing hot air in the booth
Without getting gassed like hot air balloons
The audience fractured and in fact enraptured
By my head arrangements so mastered
Booted in the mix, so everything stays on track
Trains of thoughts on schedule without dropping stacks
Remain genuinely sharp, and underneath this tarp
Drum roll presentation, tonight's masterpiece art
Indescribable! The jewel of lust: beyond desirable
Get the tires full and get the choirs hull
This visual will remain fanstically critical
Even as an air-check still deemed individual
This fox's axe is well tuned in this room
Spiffier in my zoot suit, c'mon, let's resume

[Chorus]
Gentlemen get suited up
Pollinate the ear buds
Tie up your winsors
You're going from a boy to misters

Ladies apply your make up
Midnight the hour to wake up
Keep your purse at hand
Twist with us if you understand

Choices

Grab the mask, ask myself if I'm doing it righteous?
I've been lifeless more than once and solved a few crisis
Web slinger flow, instead of a singer glow
I make it winger so to defend I throw zinger blows
Check the wrist and check the fluid, and I do it
Dead of night with no recognition, none to intrude it
Stopping criminals, reading messages subliminal
I was in for the most pure of reasons, minimal
But nowadays the vigilantism gets complicated
Every move instigated becomes premeditated
It's like being a super hero is being the villain
And the villains are celebrated, they're making a killin'
I get held down with the tentacles made of anchors
Oil explosion of a tanker, a dent in a wealthy banker
Seeking the sea king, I'm the only one left
And I'm inept and in depth with no time to rest
The title of this tidal wave is just entitlement
And the betterment is just a settlement for our grave
Corruption's at an all time high like the fumes
But I resume the mask wearing like I'm Dr. Doom
Fantastic for your information, face it
The thing is I'm torching any kind of replacements
Though my plights and tasks are undone, invisible
It's making me miserable, my spirit divisible
Lose the heart and replace with a generator
No more emotions, use my wealth cause I've been a player!
The irony of this man is my personality layered
And no one ever dug deep enough to actually care
Never mind that, amplify my motions, quotients
Are being quoted as potent, so you should know this
Despite how I illuminate the truth with the lantern
The people see the green light and they damper
They stop and pop and are shocked so they mock
A parody they see as hilarity so I remained rock
Solid, I return to the sewers and the squalid
No brothers around and my master closed his eye lids
No one around except for all this hatred
Why not release the monster? They're gonna pay, kid!
Crack one joke, and now the whole game has changed
Burn an entire mountain of money for some change
Smile on everyone's faces, they called me mad?
Get glad, I'm what you wanted, no more being sad
The sunshine was too much for you, they did mind
So now the dark side is here, it's clear to find
That an apocalyptic frozen tundra is here to stay
Forget the heroes of yesterday, take the Bane way
I now scare crows and I go so crazy with the flow
That you should know I laughed at any joke
Riddle me this, if I belittle the wit
Then in the middle of hits, I would griddle the bit
The bat and at that, a two faced man said it best
Die a hero or live to be a villain. Yes!
Before I regress or I forget
The lessons here is to be a -
