Roses and Thorns

[Verse 1]
Welcome to the City of Roses and Thorns
We adorn the scorn and the mass of porn
Lovely ladies draped across shady signs
Beats wrapped in coffee grinds dipped in rhymes
The bookworm paradise, home to Powell's
Nerds, birds, observe the roosters and owls
We've got so many Outbacks, mistaken for down under
But we're the emerald gem, North West wonder
Let me touch on a few beloved locations
Out of towners come to us for their prized vacations
Home of the green, in every definition
Wreckin' the repetition of a hip competition

[Verse 2]
Downtown beauty, picture perfect
Move down here and stay a while, it'll be worth it
Lents, Woodstock, Sellwood and Moreland
We'd love you here, parenthesis, colon
A mecca of culture, a melting pot reinvented
We say what we mean, and we really meant it
Our personality is sunny, our weather is rainy
We keep Portland funny, and we keep it brainy
Bring in the PBR and just trim the beard
This is PDX and we make it cool to be weird
Sit back, relax, grab someone near and dear
I'll be your tour guide, and I'm glad your here
